Vianca & Kevin's knew they wanted their family and cultures at the forefront of their wedding day but do not define themselves as traditional and still wanted to make sure they had a wedding that felt like them. The solution was simple, two weddings!
Their traditional family-focused wedding took place in Oviedo, Florida and featured a traditional Hindu ceremony in celebration of Kevin's Trinidadian heritage. Vianca wore a beautiful bright blue saree as a reflection of her peacock theme color pallet. Stunning henna artwork by Gokul Shenna Art and incredible make-up by Kensley McKay completed the bridal look.
Kevin's traditional saafa (wedding turban) matched the colors found in Vianca's saree with hints of green drawing on the peacock theme.
The ceremony began with the grooms and groomsman celebration parade several blocks from the venue. The parade was followed by the entrance of the bride under a peacock-themed phoolon ki chaadar, accompanied by her bridesmaids. The ceremony was filled with bright bold colors and a traditional mandap with orange and white marigold garland details.
At the reception, the guest enjoyed aspects of both Kevin and Vianca cultures. A delicious blend of traditional Trinidadian and Puerto Rican cuisines were served together as a representation of the two families becoming one. The reception was dripping with bright orange and white marigold garland and featured details of peacock feathers, sarees, and stunning gold peacock chargers provided by Cocktail Catering.
Focusing on what mattered most to them with the people they loved by their side, The Tattooed Bride captured their big day as they celebrated combining their families, cultures, and lives.
